A map to finding you in the land of motherhood.

Embracing Motherhood

8 week group starting 14th January, 1:00pm-2:30pm at Acorns Family Hub

An 8-week group to support mums to navigate the highs and lows of being a parent.  Exploring areas such as the honest reality of parenting and how to manage expectations imposed upon us by society.

As soon as we become parents we are bombarded with advice, opinions and ideas of how we should think and feel about our babies and ourselves as Mums.  Often these ideas do not match our experiences, and this can lead us to question ‘am I doing it right?’ ‘am I cut out for this?’ and ‘who am I, now that I am a mum?’. This group is a space to explore the process of becoming a mum and the impact this often has on our mental health and identity.

More about this course:
• It will be facilitated by 2 experienced therapists who specialise in perinatal mental healt
• Open to mums with babies of all ages, no matter where you are on your motherhood journey.
• Each group will have a maximum of 8 attendees.  These spaces will be offered on a first come first served basis.
• The programme will run for 8 weeks starting 14th January 1.00-2.30pm at Acorns Family Hub.
• It is free of charge, and you are welcome to bring your babies.
